We were learning about Millennials and Baby Boomer generations the other day, and learned that Millennials like to challenge the Boomers. So, I turned the question inward: Do I like to be challenged? (I'm a Baby Boomer.)
Here are some definitions of challenge for you to ponder:
—To dispute especially as being unjust, invalid or outmoded.
—To confront or defy boldly.
—To invite into competition.
—To arouse or stimulate, especially by presenting with difficulties.
I get tired just reading the list of definitions.
So, how about you? Regardless of how it's done, do you get offended when someone, especially the younger generation, challenges something you said?
We learned they challenge not to annoy us, but because they don't settle for the status quo. And that's a good thing, something we all can benefit from.
I say let's jump on the "not settling for the status quo" bandwagon. Jesus sure did.
